For whatever reason, I was thinking about Pringles today and realized that I had never sought out any Evil Ad for the chip company. I quickly took to the Internet to find this simple but very satisfying design from Neil Williamson. Not only does it use the actual chips in the image, it’s not overloaded with text or logo placement.
Instead, it takes the black background and pairs it with slight orange hue of the chips, and then goes for something that many Halloween ads don’t do: it ditches traditional All Hallows Eve concepts like jack-o-lanterns and ghosts and envisions a werewolf-like beast ripping through whatever newspaper you’re reading.
It’s saying, “Get ready, because Halloween is coming right at you. And you better be hungry for Pringles.” Or something like that.
